Workshop Objectives

After completing this half-day workshop, attendees will:

  • more effectively prepare and orally present scientific and supporting information for a variety of public audiences
  • know key components of clinical and translational research to share with public audiences
  • understand language and frameworks to facilitate effective ethics-based discussions
  • be equipped with talking points and resources on difficult questions encountered in translational research
  • through round robin rotation, meet teachers and community groups interested in receiving talks
  • meet an expanded professional network
