Hemophilia: a Fatal Past, a Hopeful Future

Hemophilia is a rare inherited bleeding disorder, in which its patients experience prolonged amounts of bleeding. In the past, hemophilia was an untreatable disease, its victims dying from minor traumas and injury. However the advancements in genetics and biotechnology have allowed hemophiliacs to have as active and fun of lives as that of an average man or woman.

This website is dedicated to the bleeding disorder, Hemophilia A. In hopes of informing the public and patients of this disease, this website will cover basic information of Hemophilia A as well as its history, treatments, and hopeful cures. Currently hemophilia is a disorder that cannot be cured, only controlled. Many find hope in the development of gene therapy. Through the wonders and advancements of science, this once fatal and untreatable disease can become a disorder easily cured.
