LIFE SCIENCES RESEARCH WEEKEND

Pacific Science Center
November 4-6, 2011

Co-presented by NWABR and Pacific Science Center

The event showcased the great research and talented scientists in our community.  It was an opportunity for the public to meet real scientists and see the passion that scientists have for the work they do.  The activities were designed to engage children--and their parents!

Teachers - This was a great opportunity to introduce your students to the life sciences research community.  Consider including your class or individual students in this great event next year!

PEMPCO partnered with Pacific Science Center to provide free bus transportation for Seattle plublic school classes and 50% off the field trip admission rates to the Pacific Science Center.  All groups are eligible for the special field trip admission rates at Pacific Science Center.

Research institutions and companies throughout the state are invited to host hands-on activities that reflect the innovative life sciences research that they are doing.

The Life Sciences Research Weekend is a fantastic opportunity for our young people to connect with the world renowned biotechnology institutions that call the Pacific Northwest home. I applaud their efforts to inspire students to pursue careers in the life sciences.
