Bill Dale, PhD
Bill Dale is the Research Integrity Officer for animal care and use at the Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) in Portland, Oregon. He also is a member of the Council on Accreditation for the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care International (AAALAC) and serves currently as a Council officer. Dr. Dale has been at OHSU since January of 2011.
Prior to joining OHSU, he served as Director of the Animal Care Quality Assurance Office at the University of Missouri-Columbia (MU) from 2001-2010. Earlier in his career, he was an MU faculty member with an appointment as Investigator and Assistant Director of the Dalton Cardiovascular Research Center.
Dr. Dale received his B.S. in Forestry, Fisheries and Wildlife from MU, his M.S. in Biology from the University of Southern Mississippi, and his Ph.D. in Physiology from MU. Post-doctoral training was received at Washington University (St. Louis), and he is a member of the American Physiological Society and the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science.
