Doug Badger

Image

Doug Badger is co-founder and Managing Partner of Quinn Thomas, a marketing communications and brand strategy agency with offices in Seattle and Portland. He joined the NWABR Board in 2019 and rotated off service in 2022.

A love of stories and the visual arts led Doug to an English degree from the University of Oregon and then to the doorsteps of a career in Hollywood filmmaking. Alas, a fascination with public policy took root and pointed him to Washington, D.C. and a 10-year career on Capitol Hill and the Executive Office of the President. There, he honed his skills of translating complex policy into communications the broader public can understand.

After returning home to Oregon to raise a family, Doug eventually found a way to combine his love of issues and storytelling when he co-founded Quinn Thomas in January 2009.
Having just completed his 27th year in communications, he now oversees the agency’s presence in Portland and Seattle.

Doug has advised large global brands, such as Walmart and Uber, foundational regional institutions, such as CHI Franciscan and Puget Sound Energy, and industry groups in the healthcare, higher education, and forestry sectors.

He currently lives in Portland with his wife of 21 years, Cindy, and their 16-year-old daughter and 13-year-old son.
