Jennifer Hansberry, RN, BSN
Jennifer Hansberry, RN, BSN, is the Executive Director of the Swedish Center for Research and Innovation (“SCRI”). She has provided oversight of the research division at Swedish since its initiation in 1999, and is responsible for providing direction and leadership for the management of all research performed within Swedish Medical Center facilities; including its campuses in Ballard, Issaquah, Edmonds, and Seattle. She works closely with Swedish’s Investigators and their teams on the continuously expanding array of federal and commercial trials.
SCRI makes significant contributions to medical research every day with more than 700 projects conducted annually; supporting collaborations with investigators locally and abroad. Over than last decade, nearly $90 million worth of private and federal research has been conducted at Swedish.
Prior to becoming head of Clinical Research, Jennifer managed federal and commercially sponsored research projects in the areas of pain, oncology, and diabetes for nine years in both the inpatient and homecare setting. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Seattle Pacific University. She is a member of the Society of Research Administrators, Association of Clinical Research Professionals, and the Health Care Compliance Association. She has served on the board of the Northwest Association for Biomedical Researchers (“NWABR”) since 2005.
