Tina Mankowski
When Tina Mankowski served on the NWABR Board, becoming Emeritus in January 2016,Tina was the Associate Vice President for Medical Affairs at the University of Washington and Director of News and Community Relations at UW Medicine. Still in this role she is responsible for media relations for six schools in the health sciences, including the UW School of Medicine. Mankowski also oversees media relations, public relations and communications for the entities of UW Medicine. This includes Harborview Medical Center, Northwest Hospital & Medical Center, Valley Medical Center, UW Medical Center, UW Neighborhood Clinics, UW Physicians, UW School of Medicine and Airlift Northwest. She has been in this position since May 2004.
Prior to that, Tina was director of Community Relations for Harborview Medical Center, the county-owned University of Washington managed academic medical center. Harborview houses This 368-bed facility houses the only Level I adult and pediatric trauma center for a four-state region as well as the region’s only comprehensive burn treatment facility.
In that position, Tina oversaw and directed the communication efforts of the medical center including media relations, publications and community outreach, as well as branding and marketing efforts. Additionally, she had oversight for the medical center’s volunteer program, service league and art program.
Tina has a degree in Communications from the University of Washingon.
