Jennifer Wroblewski, Public Engagement Manager
Jen Wroblewski served NWABR first as the Speakers Bureau Manager in 2007, and now as the Public Engagement Manager since 2013. She delights in conversations that re-humanize stakeholders and depolarize conflicted issues in medicine. As Public Engagement Manager, she designs, implements and evaluates public forums. She administers the NWABR Research Ambassadors Program, matching practicing science professionals with speaking engagements among education and community groups. Jen also oversees external communications. Prior to joining NWABR, Jen conducted research for 10 years at Harborview Medical Center in the Totten Lab. Jen received her Masters in Public Health (Genetics) from the University of Washington in 2005, where her thesis research focused on understanding perspectives about genetic information and technology in the greater Seattle Presbyterian community.
Jen is Co-founder and organizer of Science on Tap, an independent Seattle Science Cafe since 2004, which facilitates public interaction with scientists in an informal setting. She enjoys raising her three kids, gardening and singing.
