Translating Your Research: An Investigator Toolkit

This tool aims to increase the effectiveness of those who deliver translational science presentations to a variety of audiences but especially to the lay public.

Components include four Video Modules (below), a Video Facilitation Guide for each module and comprehensive Translating Your Research Manual. Each of the four Video Modules can be utilized by a single viewer or as part of group training; both viewing contexts gain structure and direction from the Video Facilitation Guide, which highlights key aspects of each module and provides instruction on running the accompanying activities. The Translating Your Research Manual includes expanded instruction from all four modules plus extensive web resources for key facts and strategies for discussing animal and clinical trials.

Video Modules

1: How To Court Your Audience with B. Southcott
2: Know Your Audience with J. Wroblewski
3: Integrating Translational Research with L. Rose
4: Ethics Challenges with K. Edwards

Funded by the Institute of Translational Health Sciences (www.ITHS.org), NIH-NCRR grant 1 UL1 RR 025014
